Highway 111 branches west from Indio Boulevard ahead of the Golf Center Parkway viaduct. A Historic U.S. 99 sign followed the separation. It was removed by 2012.

The Business Loop I-10 confirming marker posted along Indio Boulevard westbound between Highway 111 and Golf Center Parkway was removed by 2012. Following the decommissioning of U.S. 60 in 1964, Indio Boulevard was part of SR 86. SR 86 was truncated south to SR 111 by the late 1990s.

The addition of a sidewalk along Indio Boulevard west after 2007 coincided with the removal of the U.S. 99 historic sign posted between Requa Avenue and Grace Street.

Continuing northwest from Civic Center Drive, Indio Boulevard (Historic U.S. 60-70-99) pass under the Jackson Street viaduct spanning the Union Pacific Railroad.

Fred Waring Drive stems west from Indio Boulevard to connect with Monroe Street south of the viaduct spanning Historic U.S. 60/70/99 and the UP Railroad. The bridge was built in 1990.

West of Clinton Street, Indio Boulevard crosses the Whitewater River on this 1956 bridge. The Whitewater River spans the length of the Coachella Valley and empties into the Salton Sea. A companion 1925 bridge carries the southbound (eastbound) traffic.

A Business Loop I-10 route marker used to be posted along Indio Boulevard between the Whitewater River and Madison Street.

Curving northwest, Indio Boulevard meets Jefferson Street. Historically due to the proximity of I-10 and the Union Pacific Railroad, the northern segment of Jefferson Street was not accessible from here. That changed with 2015-17 construction of a new parclo interchange with Interstate 10.
