Signed as Business Loop I-25 and U.S. 20-26-87 Business, the route through Douglas initially follows Richards Street northwest from a trumpet interchange (Exit 135) with I-25. West into the street grid, Douglas Street leads the four routes to 4th Street. 4th Street takes Business Loop I-25 north eight blocks to Center Street and Downtown Douglas.

Center Street leads Business Loop I-25 and U.S. 20-26-87 Business west from the business district across the BNSF Railroad line to West Yellowstone Highway. Fourth Street meanwhile extends north as a business connector from Downtown Douglas to Wyoming 59 north. West Yellowstone Highway navigates through an S-curve, spanning the North Platte River ahead of Wyoming 59. Wyoming 59 heads north to Gillette while linking both Business Loop I-25 and the adjacent trumpet interchange (Exit 145) with I-25 to several short state highways (Wyoming 91, 93 and 94).
