Interstate 83 South - York Vicinity

Heading south through Manchester Township, I-83 approaches the first of five interchanges for the city of York. Exit 22 joins the freeway with N George Street (Business Loop I-83/PA 181) in 1.25 miles. Market Street (Exit 19B) follows at East York in 4.5 miles.

Business Loop I-83/PA 181 (N George Street) south connects Interstate 83 with U.S. 30 (Arsenal Road) west to Gettysburg via Exit 22. Exit 21 joins I-83 south with U.S. 30 east directly.

I-83 and Business 83 converge at a directional T interchange (Exit 15) west north of PA 182 near Leader Heights. Construction from May 2003 and December 2006 eliminated a sharp curve along this stretch and expanded Exit 15 into a full access exchange.
