Exit 299 joins Interstate 90 with Appleway Avenue (old U.S. 10) west into the city of Liberty Lake. The exit included a mid-1970s constructed weigh station along the on-ramp from Spokane Bridge Road. That facility was replaced with a new Port of Entry-Weigh Station along the freeway mainline just to the west by September 2011.1
