Business Spur I-90 - Sioux Falls
Business Spur I-90 in Sioux Falls is a locally maintained route joining the city center with Interstate 90 at Exit 399. The 5.1 mile route follows Minnesota Avenue north from the intersection of 11th Street (Business Spur I-29 east and Business Loop I-229 north) in Downtown to Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) and Benson Road. Benson Road takes the route east to Froehlich Addition and Cliff Avenue. Cliff Avenue leads Business Spur I-90 north to I-90.
SD 115 follows portions of the former route of U.S. 77 through Sioux Falls. The locally maintained highway along both Business Spur I-90 and Business Loop I-229 provides a signed through route in Sioux Falls. SD 42 provides a similar function along former U.S. 16.
Like the business routes for I-29 and I-229, city installed signs for the I-90 component reference Downtown Spur I-90 instead of Business. Signing for Downtown Spur I-90 and companion SD 115 is inconsistent, with shields for the spur absent at the exchange with Interstate 90.
Construction in 2013 reconfigured the interchange between Cliff Avenue and Interstate 90 from a diamond into a SPUI.
