Business Loop I-94

4.91 miles in length, Business Loop I-94 at West Glendive and the city of Glendive follows Old U.S. 10 from I-94 at Exit 210 to I-94 at Exit 215. Branching northeast from I-94 along Towne Street, Business Loop I-94 through West Glendive is a four to five lane boulevard. MT 200S ties into Towne Street from Alder Avenue 1.78 miles north of Exit 210.

Continuing east along Towne Street, Business Loop I-94 meets MT 16 before entering the Glendive city limits. Narrowing onto a two lane bridge across the Yellowstone River, Business Loop I-94 advances east into the Glendive city center, where it turns northeast along Merrill Avenue. Merrill Avenue comprises a four lane boulevard paralleling the BNSF Railroad north from Towne Street at S-335 to Interstate 94.

Paralleling Business Loop I-94 (Towne Street) to the south across the Yellowstone River, the Bell Street Bridge is a Warren through truss bridge dating back to 1925. The 1,350 foot long pedestrian span remained open to vehicular traffic until 1992. Originally part of U.S. 10, the Bell Street Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 3, 1988 (Baughn, 2021). 08/07/16
