I-376/U.S. 22-30 straddle the north banks of the Monongahela River along Penn-Lincoln Parkway East by Downtown Pittsburgh.

A directional T interchange (Left Exit 71A) joins I-376/U.S. 22-30 with Grant Street at 2nd Avenue two blocks south of the Allegheny County Courthouse.

Grant Street north links with the Purple Belt. Encircling Downtown Pittsburgh, the Purple Belt follows Grant Street north, Liberty Avenue west, Stanwix Street south and Boulevard of the Allies east back to Grant Street.

I-376 (Parkway East) passes under the 10th Street Bridge at Uptown. This suspension bridge connects with the Armstrong Tunnel north below Duquesne University to Forbes Avenue east of Downtown. South across the Monongahela River, the span links with 10th Street to PA 837 (E Carson Street) at South Side Flats.
