Interstate 680

Interstate 680 traverses the Missouri River flood plain west across Crescent Township, Iowa to the Mormon Bridge. - 03/30/2016
Interstate 680 extends 3.35 miles east from the Mormon Bridge and Nebraska state line to I-29 at County Route G37 near Crescent. The route is both part of a loop encircling central Omaha to the west and north, and a regional bypass of Omaha and Council Bluffs for I-80 in conjunction with I-29 north to Loveland and I-880 east to I-80 near Minden.
Interstate 680 Nebraska / Iowa Guides
Prior to November 2019, Interstate 680 was a much longer route in Iowa. This included an overlap with I-29 north to Loveland and the entire route of I-880 east across the Loess Hills to I-80. I-680 was renumbered to I-880 and dropped from the overlap with I-29 to reduce motorist confusion during closures of the Missouri River bridge crossings due to flooding.

130th Street connects I-680 with River Road N and 145th Street at a rural diamond interchange (Exit 1) east of the Mormon Bridge.
