Route 3A

Massachusetts Route 3A

Split between two sections, the northern segment of Massachusetts Route 3A follows the pre-freeway alignment of U.S. 3 north from I-95 at Burlington to Route 113 in Tyngsborough. North from there, Route 3A transitions to NH 3A en route to Manchester and Concord.

The southern section branches east from Interstate 93, U.S. 1 & Route 3 (Southeast Expressway) through Quincy to follow a coastal route south to Duxbury. Route 3 follows a freeway southeast from Weymouth to Kingston to reconvene with Route 3A at Exit 9 and 10 west of Kingston Bay. The freeway bypasses Plymouth to the west from there while Route 3A stays toward the coast through the town center to Manomet and Ellisville. Route 3A ends at Exit 2.
