MD 276 (Center Street) begins at the intersection of MD 222 (Main Street) and Rowland Drive in Port Deposit. The state route rises out of the Susquehanna Valley to Woodlawn. An I-95 trailblazer directs drivers from Rowland Drive onto MD 222 south toward Perryville.

A roundabout joins MD 276 (Jacob Tome Memorial Highway) with MD 273 (Rising Sun Road). MD 273 is the main route between U.S. 1 and the city of Newark, Delaware. The highway follows Main Street through Downtown Rising Sun to the east.

Construction of the roundabout at MD 273 and 276 took place in 2003-04. This was the second roundabout built in Cecil County. Completed in 1996, the first is located at MD 213 and Leeds Road near Cherry Hill.
