
North Carolina Route 694 (Town Mountain Road) heads 6.32 miles northeast from U.S. 70/74A (College Street) and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in the city of Asheville to Blue Ridge Parkway at Craven Gap in the Elk Mountains. NC 694 initially spans I-240 east onto Beaucatcher Mountain. The state route proceeds north on Sunset and Patton Mountains to Lewis Gap, and then east around Rick Knob and Meadows Mountain to Peach Knob in the Elk Mountains.
