Former State Route 520 - Stewart Street

Stewart Street in Carson City was formerly a part of Nevada State Route 520 between South Carson Street (U.S. 395 Business) and William Street (old U.S. 50). The 1.25 mile long loop branched east from U.S. 395 Business and passed along the back side of the state capitol complex, forming an alternate alignment to Carson Street through Downtown.

Curving northeast from U.S. 395 Business (South Carson Street), SR 520 commenced along Stewart Street with a begin shield posted within the Stewart Street median.

Stewart Street passes by the Nevada State Library and Archives between Fifth and 2nd Streets. The state library is located just east of the Capitol Mall.

SR 520 mile marker CC 0.80 appeared along Stewart Street northbound at the signalized intersection with Musser Street.

An end shield accompanied milepost 1.23 for SR 520 north at what was previously U.S. 50 (SR 530) along William Street.

A destination sign for Reno via William Street (old U.S. 50) west to Carson Street (U.S. 395 Business) and Virginia City and Fallon via William Street east to U.S. 50 at I-580 remains along Stewart Street north.
