Route 695

New York Route 695 links Interstate 690 by the State Fairgrounds in the town of Geddes with the Fairmount interchange along the NY 5 Camillus bypass. Funded primarily with federal interstate grants, the $33.6 million project for NY 695 commenced on September 3, 1971. The 2.40 mile long freeway was scheduled for completion in July 1974.1

NY 695 defaults onto I-690 east to the adjacent New York State Fairgrounds and city of Syracuse. A flyover connects with I-690 west to I-90 (New York Thruway) at Van Buren.

The freeway spans a CSX Railroad line leading into the directional T interchange with Interstate 690. I-690 west becomes NY 690 north to Lysander and Baldwinsville beyond the New York Thruway.

The ramp for I-690 east spans State Fair Boulevard and part of the Fairgrounds parking area beyond the flyover for I-690 west.

The ramp from Interstate 690 east to NY 695 south includes access to Pumphouse Road for State Fair Boulevard (CR 80).

State Fair Boulevard (CR 80) parallels I-690 south to the New York State Fairgrounds and northwest into the Lakeland community.

Ramps from both directions of I-690 combine ahead of the southbound off-ramp for Gerelock Road.

Gerelock Road heads east to Belle Isle Road in the village of Solvay and west to Thomas Avenue and the Camillus Landfill.

A three-wye interchange joins NY 695 south with NY 5 along the freeway bypass of Fairmount and the village of Camillus.

Southbound NY 695 expands with two lanes dedicated for each ramp to NY 5. NY 5 follows Genesee Street east into the city of Syracuse from the freeway end near Solvay.
