Located south of Hardeeville in Jasper County, South Carolina Highway 315 lines the southernmost 6.07 miles of Okatie Highway from S.C. 170 (Freedom Parkway) to U.S. 17 (Speedway Boulevard). The rural highway is part of a route connecting Savannah, Georgia with S.C. 46/170 northeast to Pritchardville, Bluffton and Okatie.

S.C. 315 formerly was designated S.C. 170 ALT. The route changed by 2011.
