The U.S. 1 Improvements Project reconstructs Lincoln Highway north from Old Lincoln Highway in Bensalem township to Langhorne. Work on Section RC1 started in Fall 2018. Section RC2 construction commences in 2021 and Section RC3 is a future project.

A loop ramp previously joined U.S. 1 northbound ahead of the Trenton Morrisville Toll Bridge from Pennsylvania Avenue south. The Delaware River crossing is toll free in this direction.

The succeeding exit in New Jersey connects the Trenton Morrisville Toll Bridge with Route 29. Route 29 (John Fitch Way) straddles the Delaware River south through the South Trenton Tunnel.
