U.S. 10/Wis 42 south combine along Waldo Boulevard for three blocks to 11th Street, which doubles as U.S. 10 east to Downtown Manitowoc.

U.S. 10 east and Business Wis 42 turn left onto 11th Street towards Downtown Manitowoc. Business 42 follows U.S. 10 and U.S. 151 through Manitowoc along WISDOT maintained roads, but is locally designated by the City of Manitowoc. According to Chris Bessert, WISDOT pressured many cities into decommissioning their business routes, but Manitowoc refused.

Waldo Boulevard carries both directions of U.S. 10 west from 11th Street to the city line and Interstate 43.

Westbound U.S. 10 at the intersection with 18th Street. 18th Street is a busy north south arterial through Manitowoc. Northward beyond the city limits, 18th Street becomes County Q. The designation in Manitowoc was removed in the mid 2000s along with many other county roads within the city.

Crossing over the shoreline subdivision railroad tracks. The CN owned line was part of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway that ran between Milwaukee and Green Bay. The railway now exists in pieces as sections are abandoned north and south of Manitowoc.

Westbound at the Whitewater Drive underpass. Whitewater Drive branches north from Michigan Avenue (former County JJ). County JJ was truncated west to I-43 when the expressway for U.S. 10 was completed.

U.S. 10 combines with I-43 north to Exit 154 while Wis 42 accompanies I-43 south to Exit 149. County JJ begins and stems west from the expressway across rural Manitowoc County to the settlements of Clarks Mills and Collins. The county trunk highway ends at CTH-PP outside the village of Potter.
