U.S. 19 Business through the town of Andrews and Valleytown constitutes a 2.94 mile long loop. Following Main Street, U.S. 19 Business branches east along Main Street, a three lane commercial boulevard, from the expressway bypass along U.S. 19/74. Entering Downtown Andrews, Main Street reduces to two lanes.
Curving east around Leatherwood Mountain from Downtown Andrews, U.S. 19 Business crosses Tatham Creek southward into the community of Valleytown. The two lane route converges with U.S. 19/74 at a wye interchange east if Stewart Road (SR 1378).
18.28 miles in length, the four lane realignment of U.S. 19/74/129 from Murphy to a point east of Valleytown was completed in 1979. Coinciding with this was the establishment of U.S. 19 Business through Andrews, which was approved by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) on June 26, 1979.
