The Mocassin Gap project realigned U.S. 58/421 east from U.S. 23 and SR 224 so that U.S. 58/421 turn left from SR 224 (Wadlow Gap Highway) to continue east toward Hiltons. Pictured during construction, SR 224 travels 8.19 miles east to the Tennessee state line north of Kingsport.
