U.S. 166/400


U.S. 166/400 travel just 0.97 miles into Newton County, Missouri from east of Baxter Springs, Kansas. The pair enter a roundabout with Downstream Boulevard west and Greenwood Drive east midway between the state line and diamond interchange with Interstate 44. U.S. 166 travels 166 miles west from I-44 at Exit 1 to U.S. 81 at South Haven, Kansas. U.S. 400 runs 488 miles west from I-44 to Granada, Colorado.
Historically U.S. 166 extended east from Joplin to Springfield. Most of the route was upgraded to Interstate 44. U.S. 400 was established in 1994.


U.S. 166/400 east expand to two lanes ahead of the roundabout with Greenwood Drive east and Downstream Boulevard west. Both lanes continue to Interstate 44.

Downstream Boulevard provides the main access road to the Downstream Casino Resort. The complex lies just south of the Oklahoma state line nearby.

Greenwood Drive is a local road leading east and then north from U.S. 166/400 to Apricot Drive, the former alignment of U.S. 166.
