State Route 224

Located within Benton County, Washington State Route 224 travels 10.15 miles joining Benton City with Richland in the Tri-Cities area. SR 224 begins at I-82 and the south end of SR 225 in Benton City, branching northeast across Benton County wine country.
Open fields give way to suburban development as SR 224 enters West Richland beyond the Tri-City Raceway. Through West Richland, SR 224 doubles as W Van Giesen Street, crossing the Yakima River into Richland. The state route ends at SR 240 south of Richland Airport (RLD) while Van Giesen Street continues into the Richland street grid.

Webber Canyon Road ties into the Exit 96 diamond interchange of I-82/U.S. 12 at Benton City to form the eastbound beginning of SR 224.

Adjacent to Interstate 82 is the split of SR 225 (1st Street) north from SR 224 (Kennedy Road) east. SR 224 continues 10.06 miles east to West Richland and SR 240 in Richland.
