State Route 225

State Route 225 extends north 11.32 miles from Interstate 82 at Benton City, following 9th Street and US Reservation Road to State Route 240 near the Wanawish / Horn Rapids Dam. Completely within Benton County, SR 225 parallels the Yakima River its entire distance.

SR 225 (1st Street) spans the Yakima River on the Benton City - Kiona Bridge. The 400 foot long steel box girder bridge opened in 1957 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
