State Route 225

State Route 225 extends north 11.32 miles from Interstate 82 at Benton City, following 9th Street and US Reservation Road to State Route 240 near the Wanawish / Horn Rapids Dam. Completely within Benton County, SR 225 parallels the Yakima River its entire distance.

The first shield for SR 225 north stands just beyond the roundabout with SR 224 (Kennedy Road).

SR 225 (1st Street) spans the Yakima River on the Benton City - Kiona Bridge. The 400 foot long steel box girder bridge opened in 1957 and is on the National Register of Historic Places ("Benton City – Kiona Bridge", 2010).
