Highway 225

Following a portion of the Lincoln Highway, WYO 225 travels east from I-80/U.S. 30 at Exit 348 on an 11 mile course to the west end of Business Loop I-80 at I-80 in Cheyenne. Locally, WYO 225 is also referenced as Otto Road.

Otto Road is the part of the old Lincoln Highway alignment that follows the Union Pacific Railroad for 11 miles between I-25 in Cheyenne and I-80 at Exit 348 in rural Laramie County. The entire route is two lanes.

This trailblazer replaced a guide sign by 2006 that directed motorists to continue on WYO 225 (Otto Road) west to return to I-80 en route to Laramie.

The only intersection on WYO 225 west along its entire course is ahead at WYO 222 (Roundtop Road). WYO 222 ties into I-80 north of Otto Road at an interchange built in the late 2000s to accommodate a Walmart distribution center.

WYO 222 travels 8.3 miles north from WYO 225 through the outermost urban areas of Cheyenne to WYO 211 (Horse Creek Road).

Twin Union Pacific Railroad lines follow WYO 225 the first ten miles out of Cheyenne before branching off for Laramie.

One branch of the railroad heads south toward Speer Junction, while the westbound railroad continues to follow Otto Road toward Laramie.

WYO 225 (Otto Road) advances west toward its conclusion at I-80 / U.S. 30. This portion of the old Lincoln Highway is in good condition as it is used primarily as a ranch road.

One half mile out from the diamond interchange with I-80 / U.S. 30 along WYO 225 west. The next traversable section of old Lincoln Highway is located west of here, where it connects Vedauwoo Road with Sherman Hill.
