California 2 west
California 2 leaves the Angeles Crest Highway for a brief overlap via Interstate 210 (Foothill Freeway) west. The state route continues southwest via the Glendale Freeway for its journey to Glendale and Los Angeles. Interstate 210, meanwhile, carries traffic northwest to San Fernando for a rendezvous with Interstate 5 near Sylmar. Photos taken 03/25/07.
Southbound Angeles Crest Highway passes over Interstate 210 in La Canada Flintridge. Angeles Crest Highway only travels a short distance further until it ends at Foothill Boulevard, which is former California 118. This state route was eliminated as the segments of Interstate 210 freeway was completed. Photo taken 03/25/07.
After crossing Interstate 210, a loop ramp connects California 2 (Angeles Crest Highway) south to Interstate 210 east to Pasadena. Photos taken 03/25/07.

After the interchange with Interstate 210 (Foothill Freeway), southbound Angeles Crest Highway (former California 2) approaches Foothill Boulevard (former California 118). Until around 2009, this old, porcelain enamel black guide sign was posted on the traffic signal. With redevelopment of this area, the historic sign was removed and traffic signals replaced.
