A diamond interchange facilitates the movements between Interstate 80 and Nevada 225 (Mountain City Highway). Use Nevada 225 south to Idaho Street (old U.S. 40) east for Nevada 227 (Fifth Street / Lamoille Highway) to Spring Creek and the Ruby Valley. Long distance travelers to Boise, Idaho will find Nevada 225 and Idaho 51 to be the most direct route to the Gem State capital city. Boise lies 232 miles away along the Interstate 84 & U.S. 20-26-30 corridor. Downtown Elko is 1.7 miles to the southeast. Photo taken 09/09/05.
