Guide signs posted for Exit 114 originally displayed SR 6/300 shields for the connections with Glenwood Avenue and Woodland Beach Road in Smyrna. This assembly was also replaced when sign lighting was removed. 08/05/07
This sign directed motorists headed to Hampton Roads to remain along SR 1 south to the Puncheon Run Connector east. It was replaced with a new assembly located north of the Simms Wood Road overpass between 2004 and 2007. 04/13/04

Exit 95 departs immediately south of the Puncheon Run Connector for Bay Road. Bay Road was formerly a part of U.S. 113, until the route was truncated south to Milford. 04/13/04
The commercial gate to Dover AFB is accessible only from SR 1 northbound at Exit 92. Truck traffic to the gate was routed southward 15 miles to make a U-turn until the interchange with SR 9 opened in 2009. 08/05/07
The Puncheon Run Connector has ramps with adjacent Bay Road (former U.S. 113) in Dover. U.S. 113 and SR 1 overlapped from Exit 95 southward to Milford until 2004. 04/13/04

The expressway ends sign posted at the on-ramp from SR 10 (Lebanon Road) to SR 1 south was removed in 2017. 06/18/12
An overhead referenced U.S. 113/SR 1 south to Milford on the quarter mile approach to Exit 93. It was replaced with an auxiliary sign for the Dover A.F.B. Commercial Gate. 04/04/04
Truck traffic bound for the commercial gate was directed southward another seven miles to Little Heaven until 2009, when the new exit to SR 9 opened. 08/05/07
Completed in 1998, the diamond interchange at Exit 93 allows Dover A.F.B. traffic to cross over uninterrupted between the west and east sections of the base. 04/04/04

The south end of the SR 1 expressway was previously considered to be a half mile south of Exit 93 at the RIRO intersection. Completion of the exchange with SR 9 extended the expressway further south. 06/18/12

Former signs posted at the transition of SR 1 south from a limited access to controlled access highway. 08/05/07
This traffic light was located at the entrance to a concrete materials plant. Truck traffic to and from SR 1 northbound uses the adjacent diamond interchanges now to make this connection. 08/05/07
SR 1 (Bay Road) left the Dover A.F.B. area and met SR 9 (Bayside Drive) and Kitts Hummock Road at an at-grade intersection until 2009. 08/05/07
A pair of wye intersections joined U.S. 113/SR 1 with Kitts Hummock Road east and SR 9 north. Kitts Hummock Road spurs east to Kitts Hummock. 08/05/07
