Interstate 95 Delaware – North
Subsequent sign changes along the Delaware Turnpike northbound continued to omit U.S. 202 south at Exit 5A. 05/19/07

Exit 5A depart ed Interstate 95 northbound for Airport Road. Airport Road loops north from SR 37 (Commons Boulevard) to SR 141 (Basin Road). 10/12/04
Former guide signs at Exit 5A for SR 141 (Basin Road) south via Airport Road. SR 141 extends 4.4 miles south from Airport Road to SR 9/273 at the city of New Castle. 01/01/05
The overhead for I-95/495 was replaced during Winter 2005, the remainder were gone by Summer 2005. 12/21/05
Taking Exit 5A, drivers partitioned for Airport Road south to Commons Boulevard (SR 37) or Airport Road east to SR 141. This guide sign was removed by 2007. 05/19/07
The I-95/295 northbound split. During weekday evenings and holiday travel periods in the 1990s and early 2000s, it was not uncommon to see traffic congestion from here all the way to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. 10/12/04
This overhead was replaced by Winter 2005 along the c/d roadway to SR 141 north from I-295 north. The state route replaced SR 41 (Newport Gap Pike) as a four-lane freeway in the late 1970s. 01/01/05
A portion of the sign face on the Interstate 95 pull through panel at SR 141 north fell off in 2004. DelDOT replaced the entire sign by Winter 2005. 01/01/05
Overhead previously posted for the loop ramp to SR 141 north for Newport, Elsmere and Greenville. 07/08/10
A sign change was made in 2006 after two separate incidents in 2005 where trucks exceeding the height restriction at the 10th Street overpass struck the span. Added signs at the I-495 split advised truckers of the 14 foot clearance. 12/23/06
One quarter mile ahead of the split with I-495. These overheads were installed during March 2000 to coincide with the major reconstruction of I-95 north of Wilmington. 03/27/04
The roadway was restriped in 2000 with three overall lanes for Interstate 495 northbound. Lighting fixtures and brackets remained from the previous set of signs until a new sign bridge replaced this assembly by 2008. 05/21/07
I-495 separates from I-95/U.S. 202 north. Four exits along I-495 serve the east side of Wilmington. 10/12/04
SR 4 is the first of two interchanges to serve the central business district of Wilmington. All signs along I-95/U.S. 202 north through to Exit 6 were replaced in 2006. 04/10/04
A monotube assembly with an interchange sequence sign replaced the first sign for SR 4 on I-95 north in 2017. 09/27/14
A replacement made of this interchange sequence sign north of I-495 dropped SR 4/48 for MLK Boulevard. 12/22/20
Continuing toward the Corporate Capital of the World, Interstate 95 reaches Exit 6 with SR 4 (Maryland Avenue) to SR 48 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard) east in 1.25 miles. 12/21/05
This 0.75-mile sign for SR 4 (Exit 6) was installed in 2000. It was replaced in 2006, with the exit tab shifted to the right. 04/10/04
Interests to Wilmington Station, an Amtrak and SEPTA (Southeast Pennsylvania Transit Authority) stop, are directed onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard east to Market Street (U.S. 13 Business south). 12/20/16
