Interstate 95 Maryland - North


This sign bridge ahead of Interstate 395 (Exit 53) was replaced by a new assembly for MD 2 (Exit 54) and a sign directing hazmat based cargo to leave I-95 by Exit 55. 12/28/07

Interstate 395 is the shortest Interstate highway in Maryland, and the sum of its two branches (one to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and the other to Howard Street) equals the total mileage of the FHWA Route Log. 12/28/07

A myriad of information was provided on this sign bridge beyond the on-ramps from MD 295 north and I-395 south. MD 2 heads south through Port Covington to the Hanover Street Bridge over the Patapsco. 12/18/07

I-95/895 converged at a wye interchange east of Moores Run. This exchange included a left side merge from the Harbor Tunnel Thruway. Since work began on the I-95 Express Toll Lanesproject, motorists originating from I-895 now enter from the right side. 12/18/07

Nearing the Hazelwood Avenue overpass at Kenwood on Interstate 95 northbound. The original interchange configuration with I-695 was symmetrical, including roadway reversals for both freeways. 12/18/07

Exit 64A departed I-95 northbound for the inner loop of I-695. The I-95 mainline passed over the southbound roadway ahead of Left Exit 64B for the outer loop of I-695. 12/18/07

I-95 reduced to six lanes through the exchange with Interstate 695. Exit 64B joined the left side of the beltway north. All movements were eventually relocated to the right. 12/18/07
