The most recent post in Road Sign UNO isn't showing for me, either. It's an http link rather than https, but that has never been an issue for me personally in the past.

Quote from: Alex on March 13, 2025, 09:47:50 AMI have a call back scheduled with support to restore the subdomain wiki.aaroads.com. That is associated with a different VPS server on my account, and when I had to remove the aaroads.com domain from the managed server I am canceling in order in order to move it to this VPS server, it disassociated all subdomains and email accounts as well. It is not readily apparent in my control panel how to associate a subdomain with a different server contract, so I'll get instruction on that later today.

Thanks for the update and thanks for the work.

Just wanted to add my name to all the people saying thanks for all your hard work on this. As someone who's had to do similar things before (albeit on a much smaller scale) I know it's often a thankless job.

@Alex thanks again for keeping things running.

Are those related to TapaTalk?

No, they're BBCode formatting tags for 'teletype'.

For example, Scott used it in this post.  But now it doesn't seem to work.

[tt]wow                very cringe
        such clearview          must photo
much clinch      so misalign        wow[/tt]

But that might have been an earlier change unrelated to this recent business.

I tried these tags a 2-3 weeks ago, but they didn't work then. So it's been that way before this outage or upgrade.

[tt] mimicked <tt>; an HTML markup tag to give default monospaced text from way back in the day.

It turns out that you can turn off following, and I just never realized it. The "no alerts or emails" button is not a button you click to make it apply; it's a toggle, and what it says on the button is the current setting. Click it, and you'll see four options. Turn off following from there.

Ah, thank you.  I figured it was probably something from beforehand, but I guess I just never tried using that tag between the BIG forum downtime/rebirth and this recent smaller one.

Hey, at least /me still works.  :D

I add myself as well.  I used to be pretty good with a Commodore 64 back in the day, but I have been a Clueless User since then.

Where is this button?

Edit: found it. It's just above the "quick reply" section, to the right of the in-thread page navigation links. If your browser window is narrow (such as if reading on a phone in portrait mode) you have to click "user actions" to get to it.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

It used to say "Notify" or "Unnotify" back in the days when the forum had an overall green theme, if that helps anyone.

I've noticed on my random checks without signing in that here are a lot of Russian posts in Registration Questions as of late.  Curious...

I wonder how hard it would be to create an extension that traps bots in a sandbox consisting of nothing but the Alanland thread.

I really hope that would have a noticeable effect on AI learning.
