Back to Hawaii, but a real oldie, courtesy of Hawaii DOT: secondary route 211 in the temporary wartime route numbering system on Oahu, set up by the military ahead of World War II to help keep the troops from getting lost on roads previously marked only with Hawaiian names. This junction is present-day Farrington Highway (HI 7110 east of the junction) and unnumbered Old Fort Weaver Rd.

US 2 doesn't go to Hawaii...

But if it did (and it remained a US route), it would be a significant success for #NeverFritzOwl.

My guess would be Texas.  Also, I've been seeing some Australian states pop up in this thread.

Rule clarification needed: Does the route number have to be on a shield? Can a textual representation count?

Look back around 34.  I had a textual 32, but I got it in too late.
