Just curious as to what alternate numberd route out there is the longest in length?  I would also say that suffixed routes are also included in the count.  You could also advise by banner type as well, i.e., longest BUSINESS route, longest suffixed route, etc.

IIRC before the Hoover dam bypass opened to traffic there was a Truck US 93 that was far longer than all other truck routes. While most, if not all, truck routes don't go further than 10 miles, this one was around 100 miles long.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

There is still a US 64 TRUCK in western NC that is about 80 miles long

Looks like we have a few long Alternate and Truck routes; I wonder what would be the longest Business route.  Business routes are never very long since they only exist to serve the cores of towns that get bypassed by the main route.  In some states they aren't even state-maintained but are locally-maintained instead.

Wasn't/isn't there an Alternate US 93 or 95 in Nevada that is pretty lengthy?

Correct!

Alternate US 95 (which serves to connect US 95 coming up from Vegas with I-80 heading out towards Reno) is 107 miles long from Schurz to near Toulon Lake, including a 38-mile concurrency with I-80.  (US 95 only takes 71 miles between the those two points)

The Lyman-Fort Bridger Wyoming loop is the longest I can think of, but that's only 15.5 miles. Surely there's a longer one.

Bus I-85 from Lexington to East of Greensboro is even longer at 43.5 miles (Interestingly, that amounts to exactly 70 km).

Even though it isn't full freeway the entire length, would that qualify as the business route (of any kind) with the longest combined freeway segments? (7.4 miles in Lexington, 9.3 miles from Urban Street in Thomasville to Durand Avenue in High Point and 15.6 miles from River Road in Jamestown to I-840/I-85 (including the brief hidden section along I-85 and the concurrency with I-40))

Denver's Business I-70 seems to be the longest business Interstate route that is entirely surface road.

What is the length of US 31E & US 31W?  They are split from Nashville, TN to Louisville, KY.  Interesting side note is that both cities are actually consolidated governments.

roadman65

US 27 alternate from Williston to Perry in FL is about 96 miles.  68 of them are concurrent with US 19 & 98, but nonetheless a straight through alternate.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Even though it's not really an official bannered route, I've always considered FL A1A as sort of a US 1 ALT in Florida. Kinda special for some reason in my opinion...

ALT I-39 has some pretty long sections in both Illinois and Wisconsin, but there's some inconsistencies with signage or large gaps where no signage exists.

The only long route I know personally is IL-251

Business 76 from Ft Morgan to Sterling is fairly well signed except within the corporate limits of the city of Sterling. It maxes out at a distance of approx. 57 miles. See http://www.interstate-guide.com/business-routes/bus76.html and https://www.aaroads.com/west/bl-076_co.html for more.

US 14A in northern Wyoming is 103 miles long, including a massively steep incline into the Bighorn Mountains. It's also where you can find this doozy of a sign...
