Oh, the horror. 🥶

According to my rain gauge, 2.54 inches of rain fell yesterday (until midnight), 1.63 inches of rain fell today (starting at midnight). That makes it 4.17 inches in 24 hours.

35 degrees and raining with areas of fog. Blech. Even better, the rain is expected to switch to snow later tonight.

Today is overcast with a mix of snow and rain (and potential freezing drizzle), and is expected to reach 3C (37F), the warmest its been for a while. Though Thursday's 6C (43F) might have us sweating! :-D

The joys of Great Lakes weather in February: Currently on day seven of consecutive days with measurable snowfall, and within the past week we have experienced both 35 degrees with snow (twice!) and 29 degrees with rain.

Friday 1/31: afternoon rain switched to moderate snow, about 1 inch
Saturday 2/01: morning and early afternoon snow showers
Sunday 2/02: quick moving afternoon storm brings another inch of snow
Monday 2/03: rain most of the day switching to sloppy snow in the evening
Tuesday 2/04: snow showers almost all day
Wednesday 2/05: a morning snow squall adding another inch and afternoon flurries
Thursday 2/06: about 2 inches of early morning snow followed by a coating of ice

Going to feel more like April/October than early February. Temperatures are around 15 degrees above average for this time of the year.  Great conditions for some grilling on the charcoal, which I'll be doing tomorrow.  Some places will fog up around sunrise otherwise mostly sunny skies and comfortable/pleasant spring-like (or fall-like) temperatures.

                                  ACTUAL                            AVERAGE
BROWNSVILLE:      90 high; 69 low                  76 high; 57 low
CORPUS CHRISTI:  88 high; 66 low                  72 high; 55 low
LAREDO:                91 high; 67 low                  74 high; 51 low
MCALLEN:              92 high; 70 low                  77 high; 56 low

Afternoon Heat Index along Rio Grande could approach triple-digits, but will mainly peak in the mid to upper 90s for the vast majority of South Texas, while the beaches will top out around 90 degrees.
We're so far south that we're not even considered "The South"

Yesterday it was sunny and a high of 60... now it's 35 and snowing.

62 degrees with a lot of morning fog. The kind of weather that makes me glad I got fog lights for my car.

Too cold to be outdoors period might have something to do with it. As you as a Quebecoise probably know, ice temperature has to be just right for hockey.

Thick bluish-gray clouds to the north, meaning heavy lake effect snow is developing. Thanks to a strong west wind we've had nothing more than a few flurries here, but Oswego County is getting hammered.

Rain, which is washing away the snow we got last night into this morning.

Currently -7C (20F) and overcast. We got a lot of snow last night, I'm guessing 20-30cm (8-12") (unfortunately I can't find a measurement online). I'm starting to run out of room to put snow beside my driveway!
