I can't say I've ever seen a vertical "ALL WAY" tab underneath a stop sign before.

Edited to add: The tweet isn't displaying on my screen the way it usually does, so here's the image I found interesting.

"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."
—Olaf Kolzig, as quoted in the Washington Times on March 28, 2003,
commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

Quote from: D-Dey65 on January 18, 2025, 11:09:23 AMThanks to David Golub, I can now try to find interchanges that could use double gore signs, like this;

Bonus: double old exit number tabs!
Ut-oh! If they renumber the exit numbers on Sagtikos State Parkway, there may never be a double exit gore sign for Exit S4 E and W at all.

I think Visalia gets their shields from the same supplier.

There wouldn't be anyways.  Only one direction is exit S4.

Another oddity is, although common in New Jersey, that the bottom sign here for Island Beach State Park is in upper case despite the main control of Seaside Heights is in mixed case.

I appreciate the warning of possible tickets, on US 44 west of Hartford:

Or was the shoulder wider there?

Yes, that looks like the only place they have room to pull you over.

Along WA 14, there are many city limit signs that have unique entering the city signs that all look like this: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ETvXmGTh4ZhVUUzh7 Instead of the common green ones you see like this: https://maps.app.goo.gl/wRFutgktzfp6Cjwi6

Dirty Harry designed that one.

I've seen those somewhere else, can't remember where though.

There either are, or at least used to be, some signs in a different color scheme on Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan that said "Don't even think of parking here." Don't know if maybe those are what you're recalling.

This sign on I-295 & US 40 in Delaware looks like a billboard.

However its actually a guide sign placed by the Delaware River and Bay Authority.

It functions like a billboard though. No one crosses the Delaware Memorial Bridge into Delaware to drive south 85 miles to pay $30 - $59 to take a ferry back north into New Jersey. And that's just for a vehicle and driver. Passengers cost more!

...unless they hide in the trunk while boarding.

In 1994 it cost $27 total for me and my parents to go from Lewes to Cape May and in 1996 I drove up there twice.  I was a single driver and both times it was only $9 for my trip from Lewes to Cape May and another $9 from Cape May to Lewes in the fog on a May day.

Also you're aware on the NJ side of the bridge there is another DRBA billboard for the same ferry.  It's like they got all users traveling the Delaware Memorial Bridge to see their ad.

At least the CBBT has merit going SB though.  Drivers will head south to use that to Hampton Roads.

Pretty sure those are Koch-era. I have one of them in my garage.
