Picked up an unused CA 189 shield.  This is the only post-1964 renumbering State Routes that has a Legislative Route Number which was identical (CA 127 designated on LRN 127 in 1934):

We just landed an Australian NH 1 shield. Still waiting for it, though it's on this side of the pond currently.

I have a few, my first one is a custom I-73 (SC) shield, I also have an I-26, I-77, and US 6 shield. A goal of mine is to find shields from my hometowns. I have been on the hunt for a US 35 shield, or another shield from the Chillicothe, Ohio area. Finding shields for routes in Fayetteville, NC or Myrtle Beach would be cool, or the route I take from South Carolina to Ohio.

I also have a collection of traffic signals that are disassembled and sitting in a storage barn, don't have anywhere to hang them yet.

Picked up two highway shields I'm unlikely ever to find again in CA 185 and CA 221.  CA 185 in particular has next to no reassurance shields on route and this might be the most haggard/peel/faded in my colleciton:

A not-so-common U.S. Route 66 sign variation, dated September 1956:

It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

More of a drop, fortunately signs are durable.

Odd. I don't see the PROPERTY STATE OF CALIFORNIA mark on that one. Local job?

Probably, they aren't exactly uncommon in the area.  It would explain why the guy I bought it from had a shield in decent shape like this.  He mostly has worn out older shields like that CA 185 I posted upthread which definitely from field replacement operations.

OK, can't let Max monopolize this thread, so I took a few pictures of what's posted. There are more items that I am trying to find space for. Also, my wife has the I-5, CA 99 and US 50 shields at where her parents live.

California US 395, Nevada US 395 (standing in for Oregon and Washington as well), and a BC 395. This was a rare find since that is a very short stub route only a few km long.

Maine US 1, embossed steel with original paint, and a US "R" sign. They were not likely posted together but they look good together. Also a National Forest 30 shield, an Australian National Route 32 reassurance marker (I also have an NR1, an NH87 and a TD1), a decommissioned CA 30 (I also have the one and only TEMP CA 30 in my workshop, and a CA 274 in the back), and an END San Diego County S15.

In the garage: large BGS button copy US 101, could barely get it in the back seat, FREEWAY ENTRANCE on retroflective crap and a button copy ACSC STOP sign. Also a Ed Koch-era no parking sign and a surplus US 395 postmile which was manufactured to Caltrans spec but I don't think was ever actually deployed (not a replica, bought from a scrapper).

Also in the garage: medium BGS button copy I-8, seen better days, US 30S shield not sure from which state, and a "YOU ARE ON U.S. 395 SOUTH-BOUND" which I think was posted in Nevada somewhere.

I'll put up some other pics later.
