I definitely approve of speech to text more than LLMs.

Fentanyl is already legal. It is used in hospitals. Street fentanyl is still dangerous, though.

Why do you think they call it dope?

Weed isn't "dope". Dope usually refers to either opiates or amphetamines. "Dope" hasn't been used to refer to weed in 40 years. It's a boomerism. You are a boomer, aren't you?

Weed smoke doesn't linger like tobacco smoke does. After a couple of hours, you can't even smell it. Tobacco smoke lasts for days.

For context my wife is a Behavioral Health Supervisor for a local county.  She gets particular when I'm not up on the modern terminology for things related to her field.

I guess?  I'm sure most people would prefer to say that they have "mental health issues" as opposed to be suffering from "insanity."

Scott5114

"Insanity" also doesn't tell you a lot. You can end up institutionalized from both borderline personality disorder or paranoid schizophrenia, but they cause a person to act totally differently and require different treatments.

Not at all. My late friend used to chain smoke tobacco inside his apartment, and I didn't like going over there because the smoke smell made me gag. Even if he stopped smoking inside, the smell would linger on for months if not years, If you smoke ganja inside a house, you wouldn't be able to smell it in just a few hours. Tobacco cigarette smoke gets in clothing and carpets and and other fabrics and doesn't go away. Cannabis smoke is only temporary and doesn't stick around like tobacco smoke does.

Many people who don't like narchotics use phrases like "taking dope" to refer to any such usage of mind-bending mind-blowing drugs.

Words like "lunatic" and "asylum" and "crazy" and "psychotic" and even "psychiatric" are considered by many in the professional counseling field to be pejoratives nowadays.

They use gentler and less provocative terms.

Hmmm ... I could copy and paste my detailed explanation of that from a biblical counseling course I took, but discussing theology would probably be contrary to forum rules.

No -- but when someone invokes "science" it needs to be pointed out that prevailing scientific theory has changed radically over time and will continue to do so.

ObH: A PA Turnpike map from the 1970s declared that the highway has "excellent visibility and scientific grading."

What is "scientific grading"??
