I don't normally listen to bluegrass, but I love Billy Strings. His music also incorporates styles like country, blues and folk, so the bluegrass label isn't completely fair. He has been in metal bands and has metal roots, and his music has a real edge that most music like this doesn't have. He's a great singer, songwriter and a real shredder on the guitar. He's one of those artists who transcends genres.

Inspired by the "traffic signals need a 4th color" thread. Think of any topic (including love songs), and King Gizzard probably has a song about it

Given the subject matter, Springsteen's new song is surprisingly catchy.

"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."
—Olaf Kolzig, as quoted in the Washington Times on March 28, 2003,
commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

Chest Fever by The Band

The lyrics are nonsense, but the organ solo at the beginning is awesome.

Garth did an almost 8 minute organ solo ("Genetic Method") at a New Years Eve show at the Academy of Music - He even tossed in some Auld Lang Syne into it when the clock hit midnight before moving into Chest Fever

I don't have opinions anymore. All I know is that no one is better than anyone else, and everyone is the best at everything

Without June by Dylan Schneider.

It's one of those songs where the lyrics have a specific alignment to the beat that's powerful in real time but hard to remember afterwards (aka it's not very catchy), but an excellent track nonetheless.

Boomerang, by Poco.

I've been on a Poco kick today.  So far, I've listened to the albums Crazy Eyes, Seven, Cantamos, Rose of Cimarron, and Indian Summer.  Just started Legend.

Earlier this afternoon, I was driving home from the grocery store and listening to 80s on 8 (XM). The DJ said, "Lord have mercy, this song was big in 1986!" Of course that immediately tells you that he was about to play a certain Mr. Mister song, which is now stuck in my head.

I have always enjoyed this album, but this song was just recently added to my personal "greatest hits" playlist.

"Two wrongs don't make a right—but three lefts do."

A surprisingly catchy song from the band that invented industrial music.

I clicked on an album that YouTube suggested for me, which is Lemon Parade by Tonic.  The second track just started playing.

Dude, how had I not heard of these guys before?  I'm digging it.
