2. Mount a flame thrower to your vehicle to melt the snow in front of you; or

3. Wait for a snow plow to pass, then just follow them around. They should eventually get to the road past your destination.

Drive 15 mph on the freeway and have a death grip at 10 and 2 on the steering wheel.  That automatically makes you a safe driver, even when you're straddling lanes and weaving left and right and completely oblivious to everyone else.

And mirrors are unnecessary in winter weather.  No move you make can possibly cut anyone else off, as long as it's snowing.
