There's really no point in giving it a number.  The I-89 jct doesn't have a number.

Apple Maps has been updated to show the completed Champlain Parkway. However, it shows the Interstate 189 designation continuing to Home Avenue, which it does not.

Yep.  Which is what killed the 1960s-1980s proposals.

There's a proposal to build a connector road through the northeastern corner of the railyard to provide a direct connection between Pine St just south of Kilburn to the Battery/Maple intersection, but that proposal is still under study.  Perhaps that proposal is what Jay was referring to.

Someone posted a picture on one of the FB groups showing an END I-189 shield right at the beginning of Champlain Parkway.  That sign did not exist when I took my photos 2 weeks ago.

This is very random but the speed limit on a small part of US 2 west of St. Johnsbury is 55. Vermont is 50 for 2 lane roads, so I guess that's considered a "super 2".

Yes.  Most (but not all) limited-access 2-lane highways are eligible for and posted at 55mph.

Possibly.  Not 100% because I haven't gotten out and paid attention much.  One thing I HAVE noticed in recent years is a lot of newer signals have yellow backplates as per recent MUTCD changes.

Yes it is.  There's a sign at the eastern start of the "Super 2" section...

... and on the other side of the road "SPEED LIMIT 50/END LIMITED ACCESS".  About 1/4 mile back there is a "PROHIBITED" sign at the last intersection before the start of the "Super 2" like you'd see at an interstate onramp (Prohibited - Pedestrians, Bicycles, Farm Equipment, etc). 

New Hampshire on the other hand has a max 55 MPH speed limit on undivided highways, regardless of limited-access highway or a regular full access hwy with houses, bike lanes, etc.

Talk about the DDI at Exit 16 opening in the next month, and VTrans having a "DDI driving simulator" at the Champlain Valley Fair.

I'll be at the Fair tomorrow and may poke my nose around the corner to check...

VTrans anticipates opening the DDI at I-89 Exit 16 (US 2/7 Colchester) overnight on 9/16.  Very weather dependent.  Any major storms, especially overnight this upcoming weekend, will likely delay completion of elements needed for opening.
