I don't see any problems in FireFox here.   :-/

odd.  I'm running 3.0.10 on WindowsXP.  I've observed the problem as early as October, 2007.

I am using Firefox version 3.0.14 and have the same problem that Jake has.

My 2 cents worth: it's easier for me to read 2-3 posts with 3-4 photos each rather than 1 post with 15-20 photos. It's just easier (at least for me) to scroll through the messages.

I'm using Firefox 3.5.3 and have the problem as well.

Also, I agree with US71 that the small posts are easier to read, in any case.

if you can just please post one more time (even a blank message will do), I can edit the big batch of signal photos into 4 of your posts.  thanks  :sombrero:

I like your photos, either way... it's just easier (at least for me) to only have a few per message. YMMV

The photos were great and I really enjoyed the tour! It was just that as I scrolled down, the images stopped appearing and white space was displayed instead. Feel free to break up a post into multiple posts to get all of the images you want to share displayed.

As do I in 3.5.3.  Maybe this bug should be reported to the Firefox people.

No problem here viewing those photos at all. They were fantastic shots, too!
So many roads...so little time.

Those 45-degree bend arms were used frequently in Pennsylvania back in the 60s-70s.  Scottdale has an assembly utilizing that type of mast arm.

Hey, I got a question.   Did Metro Chicago ever use a 12-8-8 configuration, possibly back in the 80s?

There were (maybe still are) a lot of them up in the North Shore area, probably from the 70s.  I suspect many are disappearing in favor of protected/permissive left turns, among other things.  There used to be a bunch in Highland Park, but most have been replaced.

Somewhere I have a picture of a Pedestrian signal in Central Park that looks like a car signal. It had two lights. The red one had the word "Wait" printed on the lens and the green one had the word "Walk" printed on it. I took a picture of it, but it turned out like crap.

I certainly remember 12-8-8s in Chicagoland, mostly used as auxiliary faces on the near right side of an intersection approach. However, the five-light verticals were all 12" sections, and much of the time, there would only be one of those mounted overhead on an approach.
