I guess I never thought of it before, but I-84 on both sides of the conutry only has one even ended 3di.
I-684

and only 2 odd ended 3di.

I-184 and I-384

Any others that come to mind?

or any that use up all the 3dis including odd and even?
I-90 and I-95 come to mind.
I only take pics of good looking signs. Long live non-reflective button copy!

Only one state and 2-digit route uses all the potential 3-digits...that being I-90 in New York.  I-95 doesn't.

cu2010

The two I-86's have exactly zero 3di's...

17 and 19 also have zero, along with the entire state of Arizona!
This is cu2010, reminding you, help control the ugly sign population, don't have your shields spayed or neutered.

I-43 has none, as well as I-4, I-8, and I-24.

Well I-84 did have I-284 and I-484 planned but never built...

  • I-99 has none
  • I-16 in Georgia only has I-516 in Savannah
  • I-89 only has I-189 in Burlington, VT

I-25 only has I-225, the western I-76 doesn't have any, I-27 doesn't have any

I-4 has no 3dis, but it has a terminus with a 3di, I-275.
I-12 has no 3dis, but somewhat interesting that its eastern terminus is with 2 separate 2dis, I-59 and I-10.
I-49 has no 3dis (may change in future).

Sorry, I missed the above I-4 before I posted.

I-68 has none.
I-79 has two (I-279 and I-579).

I believe US 27 in Chattanooga is still unsigned I-124.
If so, I-24 has no signed 3dis and one unsigned 3di.

Grzrd is correct here, at least south of the Tennessee River.  The south end of the river bridge is the official terminus.

Yup, remembered Las Vegas just after posting.

Dr Frankenstein

I-89 has only one, in Burlington, which is only one mile.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

4, 8, 12, 17, 19, 27, 39, 49, 57, 66, 86, 97, 99 all have no 3di. (Posted this off the top of my head, probably wrong about a few.)

akotchi

I believe I-80 uses all the possible 3di combinations in its run cross-country, albeit not all in one state.

Neither of the I-88s have 3di's.

Updated your list above with the missing ones.

Please, don't sue Alex & Andy over what I wrote above

I-44 has one signed 3di (I-244 Tulsa), one unsigned 3di (I-444 Tulsa), and one decommissioned 3di (I-244 St. Louis, now I-270).

national highway 1

I-57 is the longest interstate without a 3di.
