Just a short distance away:

That's just absurd.

I think ALDOT just wanted to make sure nobody misunderstood where AL 150 was heading...

Let's go with including the zeroes for now. We've seen a lot of the two-digit routes in previous games; let's go with the three-digits, as it seems that we've had no problems fulfilling the quota for 501/105.

I predict the hardest date in this game, should it make it that far, will be October 1. '101' will be the only available number!

110 would work, too.  the hardest day will be February 22nd.  Well, there is a US-222 and I don't think US-111 survives, so maybe Jan 11th will be the hardest?

the question is: what do we do on 5/24, given that we've explored all we need to see on 4/25?

I don't know about that.  I think some of the early days in months like June, July, August or September may be harder.  Things may be tough as the calendar approaches May 10th as well.

well, to make things even tougher on May 10th ... here's an odd duck from Illinois.  Illy had this shield style in their 1960s MUTCDs but this is the only example of it I've ever seen in the field.

definitely a construction sign.  With Series A numbers, no less.

But if we go with what you originally stated, we'd assume 10/01 and are allowed to use three out of the four (or all four, if possible), so 100 would be available as would 1001, 1010, and 1100.

We simply find 10 photos that aren't repeats of what were already given on 4/25. Perhaps bringing up this point will urge restraint on the submissions, as it may cause submitters to think about holding off some of their photos rather than posting them all at once. For example, since we have more than enough pics to qualify for 5/01, rather than submit one of mine now, I could wait until 5/10 or 10/05 when it would also qualify. However, it's users' discretion on if they want to play it that way or not.

That's what I'm doing.  I have several other "501" pictures that I can use. :)  And don't forget the date of 1/05. ;)

There are several of those 150 shields at that intersection.  They have been there since the "Galleria Flyover" was built.  In the direction the photo was taken, AL 150 ends less than a mile away.

Should Georgia be worried that Alabama's planning to annex most of the state?

Anyway, May 2nd:

Indeed.  Washington likes to have some of its state highways in relation to an Interstate highway, in this case I-5.

I drive on a small stretch of I-205 every weekday to school.   :ded:

Anyways, here's a completely different I-205 in California.

Nintendo of America is right on this road!  (Also, the University I'm going to next year.)

And some other dandy shields...

There should be plenty of State Route 111's to go by.  Even a few county routes in places.  222 may be a little harder to scrape up something.
