US highways that end at state highways?

I was just thinking about how US 69 has its northern end at MN 13 in Albert Lea. (Why they didn't extend it a little further north to end at I-90, I don't know.)

Nonetheless, that made me wonder: what other US highways might there be that end not at an interstate or another US highway, but rather at a state highway instead?

US 87 has its southern end at TX 238.

US 2 (western segment) has its western end at WA 529.

And you may ask yourself, where does that highway go to?

The crossroad where US 69 ends and MN 13 takes the short E/W jog into downtown Albert Lea is old US 16 (not sure if 13 was duplexed with 16 into downtown to meet US 65 like 69 was for a few years, or if 13 and 69 both ended at the same intersection with 16 until that route was eliminated and then 13 was extended for some reason).

Is there a reason why US 69 doesn't simply follow MN 13 to its terminus at I-35W or follow MN 13 and then make a westward jog in the Twin Cities area and then absorb US 169's segment from Shakpee northward?

Do secondaries count? US 360's east end is at a secondary route in Reedville.

US 90, 92, 98, 192 all have their eastern terminus at Floria A1A. Pretty sure US 41 used to have its southern (eastern) terminus at A1A in Miami Beach before it got truncated.

US 54 has its western terminus at Loop 375.

US 62 in Niagara Falls, NY at NY 104. While I'm looking up there, there may be some that end at Canadian providencial highways. Including US1/NB17 and US191/SK4

In that case, most (all?) US routes that end at the border and connect through (i.e. not US 75 where the road just ends).

US-60's eastern end continues as General Booth Blvd, an unnumbered road in Virginia Beach, VA.

Not sure. US 69 has never extended beyond Albert Lea, so maybe they thought it was redundant to US 65?

there may be some that end at Canadian provincial highways, inlcuding US1/NB17

That would be US 1 / NB 161.

The other Canadian ends:
  • US 3 / QC 257
  • US 5 / QC 143
  • US 11 / QC 223
  • US 52 / SK 39
  • US 53 / ON 71
  • US 59 / MB 59
  • US 83 / MB 83
  • US 85 / SK 35
  • US 93 / BC 93
  • US 95 / BC 95
  • US 97 / BC 97
  • US 281 / MB 10 (and ND 3)
  • US 395 / BC 395

That sign may actually be in error.  All official sources indicate that US 60 still ends at the Rudee Inlet loop on Atlantic Ave.

One US route not mentioned yet:  US 167 in Abbeville, LA.

JayhawkCO

None in Colorado.  All seven that end here, US24, US34, US36, US84, US138, US350, US400 end at interstates or other U.S. routes.

Technically, the southern end for US-223 is at Monroe St. in Sylvania, OH. OH-184 & OH-51 both end on the east side of the overpass.  The end sign for US-223 is on the exit ramp, on the west side of the overpass, making the exit ramp part of US-223.

Actually US-223 ends while it is still co-signed with US-23. It's pointless to have this as a US highway though and pretty obvious that Ohio has no desire to extend it since they end it at the first possible chance they get. Only reason it is concurrent with US-23 is so that it can cross the border since it would fall well short of the 300 miles required for a US highway to be in a single state so it crosses the border and ends. Honestly no one even realizes that they are on US-223 at all and it should be M-223 and run between US-127 and US-23.

US 220 ends at a county road in New York. Or at least it used to extend beyond NY 17, it may have been truncated a few feet south.

It was truncated back to I-86 a couple years ago, and I believe no longer enters the state of New York as that's where 86 clips into Pennsylvania.

Don't believe I've seen on this thread yet...
