Yes I liked them. Better than fast food but quick and convenient.

No. The restaurant version of school lunch.

I didn't dislike having one within walking distance of my office.  I really liked their corn bread for some reason.

We ate there once. We got sick. I don't know if it was the food or if we caught a germ. But it wasn't good enough to go back for a second chance.

Same.  Cracker Barrel is the closest there is to filling the Boston Market niche, but their corn bread isn't nearly as good.

There was also something uniquely delightful about Boston Market's spiral mac and cheese as well.

A question that came to my mind.  Who remembers when the restaurants was Boston Chicken?

In Florida it was Boston Rotisserie.

I saw one of those in Illinois in 1994.

Where do you get the idea that the restaurant doesn't exist anymore?

There are still more restaurants than I thought.

I knew of two, one was in St. Louis Park at TH 100 and Excelsior Blvd, I think we ate there once. The other was near my dad's house in White Bear Lake, but I don't think we ate at that one ever.

I did buy their frozen dinners a couple times. Not terrible if I recall.

In Florida none seem to operate anymore.

First of all this a discussion site.

Second of all I named my source ( as there are many others I can name, but the Washington Post is a credible source unless you follow Sean Hannity).

There is no clickbait here.  The dictionary definition is content that drives traffic to a website or blog using sensationalized or misleading headlines.

I didn't see the article and post from it. I researched and found it and posted it here. The fact they are out of business is the stores in my state have all closed.

That was my take as well.  I lived within a few minutes' walk of one for many years, in Oakland, CA.  I think I gave it a couple tries and decided my money was much better spent elsewhere.

That location appears to be have survived all the way from when I lived there (1990s) until late last year when it closed.  It was in a different storefront, but in the same shopping center (5132 Broadway in Oakland).

I'm not trolling, I'm just pointing out that your thread title and OP, which did not include your source, make it seem like the whole chain was closing down, when that's clearly not the case and therefore misleading.

Man, I miss Subway. Not that any locations near me closed, but I could go for a cold cut combo.

I used to eat there frequently.  Have no idea why I've cooled off so much on them.  Years ago, a colleague said their sandwiches were "too much bread."  I don't know.  I just have come to like other local places better...which isn't saying a whole lot of their quality either, come to think of it.

Subway definitely fell off in recent years, but it's like a guilty pleasure to me. As for "too much bread", that's ironic, because it's not legally bread in Ireland.

Also... why are they called sandwiches? They're from a place called Subway and the bread is long. They're submarines.

Subway was acceptable until they got way too expensive.  Paying $14 for a basic foot long just isn't something I'm willing to do with much frequency.

They're running deals to make footlongs $7, but no Subway in a western town where the only option seems to be accepting said deals. Even in states outside of California. None of the NV or UT small town stores will take that app deal.

Probably fair to say that the last two years have been one of the leanest for me in terms of consuming fast food.  I much rather cook myself or go to a sit down restaurant given how fast food prices have ballooned (largely in California).  Subway costing approximately $6.25 USD for a foot long in Mexico (with better ingredients) earlier this year was interesting.

Remember when it was $5?

If you book inflation from 2007 then $7 basically is the new $5.
