DelDOT's newest biyearly Capital Transportation Plan is available to peruse. Overall this plan seems pretty restrained, only a single Dover-area project was added this time around, a few mid-state intersection and street projects were removed, and a number of large projects upstate seem to be getting kicked down the schedule (I'd imagine uncertainty with federal funding availability is contributing to this point a bit).

Of note or my own personal interest:

NEW CASTLE COUNTY

• The US 13 & SR 273 Hares Corner grade separation preliminary design should begin soon.
• A number of Churchman's Crossing-area intersection projects along SR 4 and SR 2 are coming up for ROW acquisition soon.
• The US 40 & SR 7 grade separation seems to have gotten kicked down the road.
• The US 40 & SR 896 interchange, which at one point was already to have begun being built, seems to be free-falling down the schedule.
• The SR 1 widening from I-95 to US 13 is still in limbo, ROW acquisition isn't scheduled for another several years.
• The replacement of the SR 141 Tyler McConnell Bridge over the Brandywine River has yet to receive any sort of concrete funding.
• The SR 896 Boyd's Corner Road widening should begin ROW acquisition soon, hopefully with construction to soon follow?
• Fixing the SR 896 / 4 lane drops on the south side of Newark seems to have completely fallen off the schedule, they've been working on repaving this stretch of road recently so I guess they don't expect to get around to this anytime soon anymore.
• The SR 896(?) South College Avenue gateway project south of Newark still has no funding scheduled despite it being near the top of the list of priorities. I'm still not sure what this project is intended to entail.
• The SR 896 / SR 15 / future US 301 Spur interchange keeps falling down the schedule.

Interestingly, with the wrapping of the SR 896 / I-95 interchange in the next couple years, DelDOT has no more funded plans for I-95 for the next several years.

KENT COUNTY

• US 13 widening projects south of Dover should kick off soon in conjunction with the Camden Bypass projects.

SUSSEX COUNTY

• Multiple US 9 widening projects on either side of SR 1 are scheduled for ROW acquisition soon, hopefully with construction to follow quickly.
• The US 113 / 9 interchange is scheduled for ROW acquisition soon, hopefully with construction to follow quickly.
• The US 113 / SR 404 / SR 18 interchange should begin construction very soon. (and somehow they spent over $50M in ROW for this??)
• US 113 interchanges at SR 16, Bedford / Shortly Roads, and Avenue of Honor are scheduled for preliminary engineering. The SR 16 interchange in particular keeps falling down the schedule.
• The US 113 widening in Millsboro is scheduled for ROW acquisition soon, hopefully with construction to follow quickly.
• The SR 1 interchange at Cave Neck should begin construction pretty soon.
• The SR 24 widening(?) project from the previous widening project to SR 5 should enter project development soon, hopefully this entails a full two thru lanes in both directions.
