How close are you to the nearest Interstate? I live 2.2 miles south of I-64 in Indiana just outside Louisville. It's also a straight shot to the exit which also 2.2 miles away. So needless to say I am a fan of the Interstates in America.

njroadhorse

I'm about 8 miles from Interstate 81 when I'm at college, and about 15-20 miles from both Interstates 80 and 84 when I'm at home.
NJ Roads FTW!

As the crow flies, I'm about 2.9 miles from the closest I-64 gets to me, but I'm 4.1 miles from the closest I-64 eastbound onramp and 6.0 miles from the closest I-64 westbound onramp, and 5.6 miles from the nearest I-664 southbound onramp.

Currently I am about 3.5 miles from a major interstate (I-40).  Most of my life I've lived within 15 miles of interstates (I-65, then I-24, then I-64, then I-24 again, then I-40 at two different places, then I-64 again, then I-40 again, then I-75 for the only time, then I-40 again at two different places, then I-24 again, then finally I-40 again at my current residence).  After I move, I will be about 3.5 miles from a major interstate junction/terminus (I-26 and I-77).

I 40 - 2.9 miles by shortest street routing.

I-95 near Houlton, Maine. 3,127 miles. In fact, Houlton, ME is closer to my city than it is to San Diego, to put things in perspective.

In my own city; 1.8 miles.

Funny to quote myself, but I wanted to comment about that in that I consider how close I am to the national freeway network not just ones with the I shield.

In Ohio, I lived 2 miles from the Ohio 8 freeway, 6 miles from I-76/77 and around 10 miles to I-80 (Turnpike).

And, when TN 840 is finished, it will be about 4 miles from my house.

About 2 miles from I-80, and about 2 miles from I-55.  Nearest exits are slightly further - 2-1/2 miles to I-80, and closer to 3 miles to I-55.  Needless to say, I think nothing of hopping on either to get somewhere quickly.
