Rochester, NY, NH, and MN all have freeways. In addition to those three, Rochester, IN has a non-freeway bypass (US 31). What are some other city names that commonly have freeways or bypasses? (Springfield would be an obvious one.)

Portland? Washington? Jackson?

All I can do is think of common city names, then ask if I know of more than one example with a freeway.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

Burlington might be a good one to consider in this category.

Iowa, Vermont, Wisconsin, all have bypasses or freeways.

Is it cheating to say Kansas City? :)

Oh... and being from New Jersey, I have to say Hamilton (Mercer County has 295 among other freeways, Atlantic County has the ACE going through it). I'm sure there's gotta be more than one Washington which has a freeway (what is now Robbinsville has 195). Do more than one Newark (DE and NJ come to mind) have freeways?

Dover, NJ and Dover, DE both have freeways and interestingly enough, both cities are in neighboring states.

Years ago, both Dovers in New Jersey (Toms River used to be Dover up until recently) had freeways in them and bypassing both large communities.

How did I not think of that one? :ded: Oh, but I think you forgot Georgia...

Oh yeah, and Wilmington!  The one in Ohio has a partial bypass on OH 73, and then there's the one in North Carolina with I-40 and others, and I'm sure the one in Delaware has freeways, right?

Lafayette LA and IN.
Hollywood CA and FL.
Aurora IL and CO.
Fairview, Arlington, Ashland, Marion, Auburn, Dayton, Oakland

Does Lafayette and Dayton in Oregon count - Lafayette on Oregon 99W is bypassed by Oregon 18 (which is also sometimes known as the Dayton Bypass) which also bypasses Dayton itself.  (18 is a Super 2 there.)
There is a Hollywood District in N.E. Portland where U.S. 30 used to be routed on Sandy Boulevard and until a few years ago was signed as "Business Route 30" - with I-84/U.S. 30 as the bypass route.
Aurora, Oregon on Oregon 99E is bypassed by I-5.
Fairview is a small town north of Gresham on I-84.  It also has a bypass of sorts in the form of Marine Drive.
Arlington is a small town a bit further east on I-84 (137 miles east of I-5/Portland).
Ashland, down in southern Oregon near the California border, is on I-5.
Marion is a rural community located NE of Albany and SE of Salem; it is bypassed by I-5
Oakland is north of Roseburg on Oregon 99 and bypassed by I-5
Auburn, Washington is located at the interchange of Washington SR 167 and 18, both freeways, and is just east of I-5.

Both Rochesters are near I-90 as well as being same name and having freeways.

Norwalk, OH (OH-18 Norwalk Bypass)
Norwalk, IA (IA-5, Des Moines area fwy)
