Clay County Road 216

Cathedral Oak Parkway is a suburban arterial stretching 5.2 miles between a roundabout with CR 214 south of Asbury Lake and CR 315 northwest of Green Cove Springs. Designated as Clay County Road 216, the landscaped parkway was built to accommodate suburban development along both sides of the First Coast Expressway (SR 23). Cathedral Oak Parkway and the toll road both opened to traffic on August 9, 2025.
A ground breaking ceremony for Cathedral Oak Parkway took place on August 17, 2023. Budgeted for $43.2 million, the Clay County project built the two lane, divided roadway from SR 23 east 3.3 miles to CR 315 at Maryland Avenue (Clay County, Florida, n.d.).
Major development slated for Cathedral Oak Parkway includes a 2,445 acre plot for the planned Saratoga Springs community. Located to the east of the First Coast Expressway, the site was purchased by the Freehold Capital Management company for $70 million on January 10, 2025. Upwards of 4,489 homes are envisioned for the property (Gibson, 2025).

Cathedral Oak Parkway travels 1.5 miles east from the roundabout with CR 218 to the diverging diamond interchange with the First Coast Expressway.
