Delaware State Route 404 Business

SR 404 Business was designated in 1999 along the original route of Delaware State Route 404 through the town of Bridgeville. SRe 404 overtook SR 404 Alternate at that time to bypass Bridgeville to the north and east.

SR 404 Business follows Seashore Highway southeast to Market Street in an industrial area west of the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks in Bridgeville. The state route continues east along Market Street through the historic district to Main Street, where it combines with U.S. 13 Business south. The tandem travel south by the Heritage Shores golf course community to end where SR 404 splits with U.S. 13 (Sussex Highway) at the continuation of Seashore Highway east.

Crossing Bridgeville Branch, SR 404 Business enters the town of Bridgeville. The rural highway intersects Federalsburg Road south and Market Street east at an industrial area adjacent to a NS Railroad crossing. This assembly was replaced by 2008 to include a business banner.
