A lone shield assembly references SR 491 north along SR 92 (Naamans Road) west at Hickman Road in Claymont. Hickman Road runs alongside the West Branch of Naaman Creek by the Analine Village and Woodfield town home communities 0.36 miles north from SR 92 to the Delaware County, Pennsylvania line. PA 491 (Naamans Creek Road) mirrors the state line west from there along a 5.56 mile course to U.S. 202 (Wilmington Chester Pike) at Johnsons Corner. SR 491 is not inventoried in the 2015 Delaware Vehicle Volume Counts list as a Delaware Route.
