Pennsylvania Route 491 arcs 5.7 mile northwest from the Delaware state line in Lower Chichester township to U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) at Johnsons Corners. Following Naamans Creek Road, PA 491 parallels the Delaware border through Booths Corner in Bethel township and Ogden in Upper Chichester township. Delaware State Route 491 (Hickman Road) connects the east end with SR 92 (Naamans Road) near U.S. 13 in Claymont.
