State Road 566 - Thonotosassa Road
Leading into Plant City in Hillsborough County, the eastern branch of Thonotosassa Road is partly CR 582 and State Road 566. CR 582 stems a half mile south from CR 580 (Sam Allen Road) and the western section of Thonotosassa Road along North Forbes Road. The 2.83 mile long unsigned route turns east along the continuation of Thonotosassa Road at Stafford Road and Branch Forbes Road. Thonotosassa Road shifts southward across Pemberton Creek to a diamond interchange with Interstate 4, where SR 566 takes over.
SR 566 links Interstate 4 at Exit 19 with U.S. 92 (Baker Street) north of the Florida Strawberry Fest grounds and west of Downtown Plant City. The 0.93 mile long state maintained portion of Thonotosassa Road constitutes a four lane urban arterial with bicycle lanes and sidewalks.
